I rode with your chapter for the 2005 Iron Door Run. I came down from Huntington
Beach that morning. While in line to register, I met Pat, Conrad, and Hiro. They
invited me to ride along with them since I was not familiar with the area. I had
a great time, and really enjoyed the area. I am not much of a Poker Player, but
had a great time none the less. The food and the company at the end of the ride
was great. Thanks to Pat, Conrad, and Hiro, and the chapter for showing me a
great day.

The "mini-poker run"...Turkey Run on Sunday 14 Nov was without a doubt the most
fun I have we had since we joined the Chula Vista Chapter. It was great...Thanks

Now that I have taken care of the insurance - its time to start riding with you
all. I'm 24 and in October of 03 I purchased my first Harley - an 04 Fatboy. I
had been planning on attending the HOG meetings and events at SCHD... but felt
weird showing up in a car =).

thru Cal and on into Ensenada. Any suggestions would be appreciated. If any one
from your area would like to join up, it would be great. Any takers???? thanks

Glad to have found this site! Wife and I
just bought my 30 year dream....a 2002 Fat Boy. I live in Japan now (NAVY) but
Chula Vista is home. Parents still live there. Wish I was back there to join
your Chapter. Great web site..maybe I will just consider myself a web-member!
Went to SCHD last trip home, GREAT customer service...didn't know me from Adam
but everyone helped me get what I needed. "Harley-Davidson"...and the U.S. Navy,
two best defenders of American Freedom! Best rides to all.

Thank you for offering and organizing Sunday's, Tijuana Toy Run. What an
unforgettable adventure...
I'm fairly new to this world of wind-riding, and I'm amazed how my level of
awareness has increased. I never imagined that riding on the back of a 2004
Heritage Soft-tail could be such a spiritual experience. But sitting there
watching the seemingly endless streams of visuals passing by... vibrant visuals
that used to pass-me-by unnoticed, fills me with gratitude and a heart-felt
appreciation for this newfound life that reverberates throughout my being.
While holding on tight to my Harley honey, as we rip down the highway, I can't
help but feel a powerful connection to All That Is...to that Divine Force that
is far greater than myself, and I'm profoundly aware that I am a part of that
Force.
Riding to Tijuana, I sensed that we were all cruising in a great compassionate
current of benefaction...thousands of gift-bearing bikers flowing freely within
the river of life. It felt so right.
Seemed even the sun seemed offered a stamp of approval for the passing parade,
breaking through heavy cloud cover to warmly illuminate the Way. And with the
breaks offered by Border Patrol freeing us from the backlog of traffic, it
seemed as if the seas had parted and offered us a police supported connection
directly to and from Revolution Boulevard. I've never experienced anything like
it.
We parked in front of the Tijuana Bus Station, below a large vertically hung
sign that said BUS. After locking up our bike, we walked up and down six city
blocks that were packed with the most unique conglomeration of people and costly
chromed possessions I've ever seen. Mexican moms and dads were carrying
bundled-up babies and holding onto hands of little dark-haired beauties whose
piercing eyes had the power to lazer through layers of leather-clad bikers and
penetrate into the heart of every Harley and non-Harley rider alike...penetrate
into that often well-hidden soft spot of the heart that causes the throat to
tighten and eyes to tear when it's touched.
While my man got our machine ready for the short ride home, I stood nearby with
my eyes closed and my head tilted back, feeling the warmth of sun on my face,
and breathing in the assorted smells of tacos, tamales, and tostados. It was one
of those magical moments that make me smile.
I then opened my eyes, and couldn't help but notice how the BUS sign, shrouded
in sunlight, was also being showered with mini prisms as the sun passed through
a multi-colored glass canopy-like structure mounted on the roof of a nearby
building. I was seeing the word BUS in a whole new light! What had first
appeared as a noun, was now shining through like some Divinely sent request...a
compassionate call to be... "B US."
And as I settled into my backseat, snuggling up behind my beloved Steve, it was
all so clear to me. "What better way to experience the USness than on the back
of a Harley?"
In Gassho,
(A bow of gratitude)
Carole Comte,
co-rider through life with Heritage Soft-tail owner, Steve Sarian.
